The Choreography
Your choreography is a plan of action.
You should have learned 4 patterns: 3 of your choosing and Picture Perfect to finish your dance.
You should also have decided how you are going to enter the floor and when the music is going to start.
All you have left to do now is decide in which order you are going to dance the patterns and write it down on a piece of paper. Beside each pattern you should also write down how it starts (See the example below).
Now you have your choreography or plan of action!
You should both memorise this choreography so that if the leader forgets what is coming next, the follower can quickly put him back on track without taking the lead with just a few words.
If you have to talk to each other while dancing, don’t hide. Just chat, smile and be natural. No-one will hear what you are saying ๐
One word that all followers should say to the leader as the dance is starting is: “Slow”. With the adrenaline pumping we tend to start too fast and reminding ourselves to slow down and stay on the beat is important.
Have a look at the sample of choreography below. The green bubbles indicate the keywords the follower should use if the leader blanks.

Practice the entire choreography (Including entering the floor) until you can do it in your sleep, and then practice it some more.
That’s it!
